# Does the donor receive a transaction confirmation?

No, donors do not receive an automatic confirmation after making a donation through the device, as we do not collect their contact information during the transaction.

However, for online donations made through custom donation devices, a confirmation email is sent to the donor (*if their contact details are captured during the donation)*. 

Donors can also request a yearly tax receipt from the organization receiving the donation through a provided QR code if the transaction was successful. This ensures their donation is acknowledged and can be used for tax purposes, even without an immediate confirmation email or SMS.
