# How will I know if a transaction was approved or declined?

When a transaction is approved or declined, you’ll receive a corresponding audio alert directly from your device terminal. You can also opt in for SMS alerts!

**Beeping Sequence**

- After a device terminal has been tapped, one of the following sequences will occur.
    - 1 beep, the card was read correctly.
    - 2 short beeps, unable to read card.
    - 1 short beep after the initial beep, the transaction has been approved.
    - 3 short beeps after the initial beep, the transaction was declined.

**SMS Notifications**

- You can choose to **receive an SMS notification** on your phone every time a transaction is completed. To enable this, make sure your phone number is added and notifications are turned on in your account settings.

**Check Transactions Online**

- **Log in** to your dashboard account.
- Go to the **Transactions** page.
- View a full list of transactions and their **status**.

You’ll always be in the loop—instantly and securely.
